The charity’s name is Invest in ME Research – a constant in our mission and a name that more and more
are now finally
adopting,
and it is no longer a slogan as the charity has brought forward major change
through its vision of creating the necessary building blocks for making progress in me research, urgently.
Our research strategy is, therefore, oriented to achieving the best and most rapid outcome –which is only
possible via a coordinated, collaborative structure of biomedical research, using the capacity of Europe.
Since the charity was formed it has concentrated on funding and facilitating biomedical research into ME
prioritising research as the
quickest way to improve and effect better education and to galvanise advocacy.
Made up of full time volunteers of patients, parents of children with ME, the
charity has never used scarce funding for salaries, preferring to devote all income to funding and facilitating
research into ME.
