UK Cold Water Swimming Championships - 24th January

Invest in ME supporter Helen Milstein is hoping that plenty of people will be able to get along to Tooting Bec Lido on Saturday 24th January 2009 to cheer her and another three hundred brave swimmers on as they take part in the UK Cold Water Swimming Championships.

Helen, whose daughter has ME, has been swimming outside in the unheated water of Tooting Bec Lido twice a week since last October is raising funds for Invest in ME to support biomedical research.

This is Helen's first year of winter swimming & she says it's been so cold recently that the lifeguards have to move the ice to make room for the swimmers.

Helen plans to carry on with her twice weekly swimming sessions until April.
