King's service medal

The King's service medal was founded by King Haakon VII 1 in February 1908. It is awarded "for service to progress in art, science and business, and for the outstanding public service. "

The medal is awarded in gold or silver.

Our tribute

In the years that IiMER have known and worked with Ellen and the Norwegian MEA we can attest to her courage, determination and sacrifice in improving conditions for people with ME and their families and for raising awareness of ME.

This award is hugely deserved and is a outstanding honour for an outstanding lady.

There have been very few, if any, similar awards for work related with ME.

This is a historic moment for the ME community and for Norway.

Congratulations to Ellen for all of the hard work over the years.
