#IIMEC15: A 2020 VISION for ME
Open Medicine Foundation Supporting #IIMEC15
IIMEC15 Conference News - OMF Supporting IIMEC15
Invest in ME Research are pleased to announce that Open Medicine Foundation (OMF) has made a very generous donation to
support Invest in ME Research with administrative costs in arranging the
15th International ME Conference in London in May.
IiMER chairman Kathleen McCall writes -
" This wonderful generosity from OMF further supports the efforts of IiMER to build a foundation of biomedical research into ME based on international collaboration between organisations and research institutes sharing the same ambitions as we have. IiMER have always been supportive of OMF's efforts to build this biomedical research base in USA. It is very important work.
It also parallels the charity's ambitions and efforts to develop a European base of research. With such support and collaboration we will undoubtedly succeed.
Thank you again OMF for your support for Invest in ME Research and for your work for people with ME"
OMF will again have a table in the Great Hall at the IIMEC15 conference on 30th May.
For 2020 IiMER had already issued invitations to
several researchers who are funded by OMF,
Professor Ron Davis and Dr Chris Armstrong from Stanford and Dr Ron Tompkins and Dr Wenzhong Xiao from Harvard will be
at our BRMEC10 Colloquium and IIMEC15 Conference.
We had also invited Dr Tompkins' British collaborators to the Colloquium as in the previous year.
Linda Tannenbaum, Founder & CEO/President of Open Medicine Foundation (OMF) is no stranger to the IiMER conferences.
Linda has been invited to all of our Colloquium and Conference events over the last 7 years
and many collaborations with OMF researchers have been made at the IiMER events.
IiMER recognised early on the potential contribution that OMF would
be making to research into ME when we invited Linda to give one of our earlier pre-conference dinner
presentations in 2013.
This was the pre-conference dinner keynote speech given by Linda - (see below).
